Summary: We collect minimal data needed to run the service. We use X OAuth for login (no email required). We don't sell your data. We use Firebase for secure storage.

1.1 Information from X (Twitter) OAuth

When you sign in with X, we receive:

  • Your X user ID
  • Username (@handle)
  • Display name
  • Profile picture URL
  • Bio (if public)

We do NOT receive or store:

  • Your email address (even if associated with your X account)
  • Your X password
  • Access to post, like, follow, or take actions on X
  • Your DMs or private content

1.2 Information You Provide

When using FollowHunt, you may provide:

  • Profile information (tagline, links, tags, "can help/needs help" descriptions)
  • Request content (titles, descriptions, task definitions)
  • Submission content (proof, summaries, URLs)
  • Review content (verdicts, notes)

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect:

  • Usage data (pages visited, features used)
  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP address (for security and rate limiting)
  • Timestamps of activities

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service
  • Display your public profile to other users
  • Process request and submission workflows
  • Calculate reputation scores and credit balances

4. Data Security

We implement security measures including:

  • Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized access
  • Firestore Security Rules to restrict data access
  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Rate limiting to prevent abuse

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active
  • Credit ledger entries are retained indefinitely for audit purposes
  • Deleted content may be retained in backups for up to 30 days
  • Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access - Request a copy of your data
  • Correction - Update inaccurate information
  • Deletion - Request account and data deletion
  • Portability - Export your data
